About this site
Purpose of this site
The EB-1A Self-Check is a free, independent tool that helps people gauge whether they may qualify for the EB-1A "extraordinary ability" green card — a route that lets exceptional individuals immigrate to the US without an employer or labor certification.
USCIS lists ten criteria — awards, published material, judging, original contributions, scholarly articles, and more — and most applicants must meet at least three. This tool helps you count which criteria you may satisfy before investing in a complex petition.
How it works
The checker runs entirely in your browser. It walks through the ten regulatory criteria for extraordinary ability and tallies how many you may meet, plus a reminder that USCIS also applies a final-merits assessment beyond the criteria count. It is a self-assessment, not a prediction of approval.
Independent and neutral
This is an independently operated site that builds simple tools to remove the friction from complex US immigration rules. We are not affiliated with USCIS or any government agency, and the checker does not collect or store your answers — everything is processed locally in your browser.
Before you rely on it
EB-1A is one of the most evidence-intensive immigration categories, and the result here is an informational estimate, not legal advice. Please review our disclaimer and consult a licensed US immigration attorney.
